SAITM, the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine, is the first Green campus located in the suburbs of Colombo with a vision to make Sri Lankan and regional youth enriched with professionalism and character. The multi-faculty campus located on a picturesque land in the midst of vast green land integrates students of all disciplines with the environment and makes them eco-friendly.
SAITM has provided its students spacious and advanced classrooms and state of the art high tech facilities to enable them to continue their studies in a modern and friendly campus environment. The building complex covers over 96,000 square feet. The state of the art facilities available in this Institute includes spacious air-conditioned classrooms, modern laboratories, an auditorium with 450 seats, students lounge, and modern cafeteria, health center and sports facilities making the life of the students easy and fun to learn.
SAITM‘s faculty staff is comprised of professors / senior lecturers from local universities recruited in line with the UGC guidelines and highly qualified visiting and overseas faculty members. A team of highly qualified and experienced academics such as former Heads of Department from state universities in Sri Lanka will form the academic and administrative staff of the proposed SAITM. It is also expected to attract many other senior academics as visiting faculty members.
SAITM is a UGC and Ministry of Higher Education, approved degree awarding institute. It providing Extra-curricular activities that stimulate learning with leisure. This campus is Global approval for its work and achievements and growing number of students including those from a foreign destination. This offers ‘Inclusiveness’ in student intake sans discrimination and apprenticeship opportunities with global experience, This leading campus even having Member of Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN). It providing Scholarship for students in need of assistance and finally, it offering Employment opportunities immediately after their graduation.
