Old Clove House is a traditional Sri Lankan house with colonial architectural influences that has been fully renovated, modernized and is now operating as an upmarket vacation rental home. Located in the very pretty village of Mihiripenna, Old Clove House is just 5 minutes from the beach and just 15 minutes from Galle Fort and is an ideal base for a family or group of friends to explore and enjoy the attractions in and around Galle.
Old Clove House is located in a lush garden of more than half an acre with an expansive lawn, mature trees and shrubs. Its walled all around by a 10-foot high perimeter wall ensuring total privacy. The house is designed to maximize outdoor living perfectly suited to the warm climate of Sri Lanka. The house sleeps 8 adults comfortably but with converted daybeds and bunk-beds, up to 10 can be accommodated. All bedrooms can be cooled by air-conditioning or overhead ceiling fans.
There are three bedrooms – the upper-level master suite with a king-sized bed and a separate sitting area, the poolside room with a king sized bed, and the children’s room with a queen sized bed and two single beds. All bed linen is of the best available quality from the supplier of bed linen to most upmarket private villas and boutique hotels in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
It can be, as we do offer many of the benefits of a resort-style, all-inclusive package, coupled with the privacy and quality of a private villa. We’re happy to pre-stock Villa Punto de Vista with beverages, mixers, snacks, and groceries, upon request and at cost. (Although unlike a resort, we never mark-up for pre-stocked items.)
