Silaa Cabana is our very own enterprise in cool hospitality by the beach. We, Silani & Neville, are partners with artistic backgrounds. Silani is a professional vocalist and, after years of enjoying cooking to fame among a widening circle of friends recently did her own café for several months. Neville has been an off-beat journalist, a documentary film-maker and still blogs.
With the expansion of tourism in Sri Lanka, we want to mix our work with some relaxed community and, do it in a cool, quiet place. Our ‘cool hospitality’ venture wants to share in Trincomalee’s growth as a stunning beach resort by blending with the local and bridging cultures. The travelers we host will share in our little ambiance of relaxation and empathy.
Silaa Cabana brings serenity to travelers. We try our best to provide clean facilities, a calm atmosphere and cozy intimacy in your own little cabana. And step out refreshed into the wide vistas of sea and sand – frothy surfing in the sunshine, monsoon winds, gold-to-scarlet sunrises. And Silani not only delivers on the food but adds to the ambiance (when in the mood!) with her songs drawn from her singer experience.
